Dans ma vidéo originale sur le remodelage des données, je suis arrivé à un point où j'avais besoin d'obtenir les 2 premiers caractères d'une colonne. Ma méthode impliquait Split Column pour générer les 2 premiers caractères et tout le reste. J'ai ensuite supprimé tout le reste.
Mike Girvin de la chaîne ExcelisFun, ainsi que Brandon Brimberry, Wyn Hopkins d'Access Analytic, Geert Demulle a noté qu'un moyen plus rapide serait d'utiliser la transformation, l'extrait, les premiers caractères.

Cela ne conserve que les informations du trimestre sans avoir besoin de supprimer le reste de la colonne.

Bohdan Duda a utilisé le texte extrait avant le délimiteur pour tout obtenir avant le caractère _.

Mike Girvin a noté que sa solution était «à la volée, rapidement avant que je sois à la porte». Voici son code:
